At AquaBambinos, we focus on a fun, happy, secure approach to encourage infants and toddlers to appreciate and enjoy playing in water. Through songs and toys, we engage children and parents to participate in activities crafted to inculcate water safety and build water confidence. The age groups are defined as follow: Infant from 6 months to 12 months old and toddler from 13 to 36 months old.
We do not recommend infant swimming lessons for infants under 6 months of age. However, during this period, parents should be advised on how to use the bath to introduce infants in the newborn stage to appropriate aquatic experiences at home and prepare them for an infant aquatic program.
We keep a ratio of one teacher to six parent-child pairs so that the teacher can monitor and guide parents in their support and techniques.
During the infant swimming lessons and toddler swimming lessons, caregivers or parents are the education focus of the program. Parents will be informed of the program philosophy and aims. The teachers will also be monitoring parent supports, guiding parent practices, introducing equipment, songs and activities and providing education on the risks associated with aquatic environments.
Parents must assume responsibility for the supervision and learning of their infants and toddlers.
