During baby swimming class, there is a repertoire of songs that coaches use.  It may seem repetitive but children learn well from repetitive tasks.

Here goes, Song Number 1 usually is sung before the class commences to let the baby experience buoyancy in water.

1.  Wheel On The Bus

The wheel on the bus go

round and round (3x)

The wheel on the bus go

round and round all through town

The children on the bus go

up and down (3x)

The children on the bus go

up and down all through town

The wipers on the bus go

swish swish swish (3x)

The wipers on the bus go

swish swish swish all through town

The doors on the bus go

open and shut (3x)

The doors on the bus go

open and shut all through town

END

Song Number 2 is sung when performing Toy Chase.  Baby is to get a toy with hand and kick their legs to the basket to drop.

This is the way I kick my legs

kick my legs (2x)

This is the way I kick my legs

all day long

END

Song Number 3 is sung when baby is seated on the mat or deck and lean forward into the water kicking their legs.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

Song Number 4 is sung when baby is floating on his back.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars

How I wonder what you are

Up above the world so high

Like a diamond in the sky

Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars

How I wonder what you are

END

Song Number 5 is the finale.  When baby hear this song, the baby will eventually realise it is the end of the class.

If you are happy and you know it

Splash your hands

If you are happy and you know it

Make some rain

If you are happy and you know it and you really want to show it

If you are happy and you know it

Kick your legs

END
